The OLD TOWN cabinet is a very raw form. It lacks smoothness, artistic welds or generally understood elegance. He has a huge “loft heart”. Raw steel was used to make it, which was moulded into a simple factory shape. Visible welds, rusty discolouration, natural steel patina emphasising its ageing. In the cabinet, screws used in transport trucks were used as handles. The pattern on the door was stamped by hand using a hydraulic press from the 1940s.
The whole is completed by raw, hand-cut and ground wood. The OLD TOWN cabinet has an extension, which with its shape immediately brings to mind the former clubs of the American south.
It’s supposed to look like old, not ageing! Could it be more industrialised? 🙂
